Merida Mountains shelter the Salesian Cooperators

Dear Brothers:

First I give a cordial greeting with the blessing of our mother Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians, and with the hope that these words humble but written with great faith and heart serve to give our association a beautiful drive and especially great strength to work for our young people and neighbors, at this time so crucial and difficult because you're going through our beautiful country Venezuela.

The last weekend of July 31, 2010, our association lived a rewarding experience, full of peace, brotherhood and especially good training that we injected a big dose of encouragement and desire to work for it and the Salesian family. Perhaps the most relevant and important is that the withdrawal was made by a cooperator brother, Euro Lobo, who took advantage to offer my sincere congratulations, he showed us that do not depend on ourselves if not to carry any type of activity that the partnership is set as a goal and we have people ready and willing to work around to make things right because this last weekend I felt that urge in each of my brothers promise and training.

As Don Bosco had a dream not only documented but it also took place, we all share the same dreams with our father, and although most of the time we daydream as in these retreats, which a great advantage because we can remember the same and so we only have the most difficult but rewarding it is to take to fulfill them.

Today when our country and our great Salesian family is going through difficult times when we must address more forcefully the task appointed Don Bosco us, that to be their eyes, hands, works in street, in society. Same society that has no love today, love and above all values, and those most affected are our young people who often do not know which way to go, and worst is yet to know they can be good, that's an option which is also the in the end will make you happy, this is when we must ask, what is my role as a Salesian cooperator, I am doing, or that I am contributing as a Salesian cooperator, my country, my community and above all things my surroundings, friends and family, which is place to start our ministry, we must ask and ask whether we really are causing this positive effect on those around me if I'm really happy Salesian transmitting that once captivated us and spread happiness to everyone who knows her.

know that the road is not easy, but the good news is that there are ways to make it much easier, the first thing to remember is that we Salesians, who are happy, cheerful and that the smile should be our calling card to any person or circumstance, because in this way comes easier to hearts.

Other way is to be formed continuously, supporting the regulations, dreams, letters and memoirs of Don Bosco, and a host of material to our family account, and not just documents, human potential with which we have and we must make the most of, the Salesians of Don Bosco, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Salesian Cooperators, Salesian Ladies, etc., in each of these branches of our family we people ministries are incredible, unique experiences of which we can nourish us to become better Salesians and because good Christians and honest citizens.

My dear brothers, the tools are there, just missing that each of us decides to live their vocation with enthusiasm, we help our schools do not fall in profit, and that demonstrate how important facts are Salesian Family in the insurance and they also bring us vocations we need to grow as a family, I can only commend to Don Bosco and the Blessed Mary Help of Christians, so that these words serve as much spirit and become numerous ministries that will take us to a holy life on earth and allow us to accompany our father in heaven, a giant hug and God bless.
